So we started out the Batam trip with a visit to the Kek Lapis Factory. (which didn't really have that many nice Kek Lapis, but whatever.)
There was even a room to sit and chill and eat kek lapis, so that you can preorder it before you go home.
After that, we bussed to the place where they sold a lot of Keropoks. I bought some for the boy - because he loves them so much. Hahaha. Next time I'll buy them elsewhere. SO EXPENSIVE OVER THERE.
Huda & I
Haha. Dilarang Kecing. HAHAHA. It's either money or pee. :P
After that, we went to DC Mall where Mak Lang went crazy and bought lots and lots of Perfume!
And get this : One bottle of perfume costs FIVE SINGAPORE DOLLARS!! It comes with the original packaging and everything. Hahahaa.. I bought Ralph Lauren and Paris Hilton. K, no. Mak Lang bought them for me. :D:D:D
Hud and I also bought lots and lots of dresses, and here's Hakim in one of them. Hahaha.
Obviously we've checked into the hotel by this time. Haha. Yes, after shopping then check in. :P
Then it's outdoors again for lunch and flying-fox and Go-Karts!
In Batam there are 3 kinds of cabs : the car ones, the van ones and the motorcycle ones. And they ALLLLL honk and you.
Only Hakim got on the flying fox. I was too lazy. And Huda was too sleepy. So yeah.
His face before and after didn't change much. I think he was really really pale. Hahahaha. So funny lah can. The flying-fox thingy was actually dangerous, i think. It goes over a road AND the narrow part of some lake.
I didn't take any pictures of the Go-karts. Lots are in Mak Lang's camera. Shrugs.
Day 2 :
Started the day with Breakfast in a super-crowded hotel dining room filled with smelly smokers. Ah well, the baked potatos were nice. :)
Hakim and Ammar were decked out in their Ferrari and Kawasaki shirts respectively, all purchased the day before.
And yeah, technically it was just shopping shopping shopping and more shopping so I didn't take any more pictures until it was time for the ferry ride home.
Was kinda crowded on the Ferry, but it was fun. :D I think I stood out there for more than an hour. Haha. I like. :D
Mak Uteh came to join me, and she asked me to take this photo so that she can make her kids jealous. Hahaha..
We saw a huge tanker up close. It was filled with Containers, and it made such huge waves that it totally made our ferry dip really low, and then really high. Hahaha.
Tanker sailing off into the sunset.
Can you seeeeeee??????? There's a man on the left and a woman on the right, and she's holding a bouquet!! No? Just me then.
If you can't see this one then you're BLIND.
Cable cars at Dusk.
And that's the end of the Batam trip. Total damage : $230.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. Inclusive of hotel stay, shopping, 1st day lunch, dinner, 2nd day breakfast and lunch, flying-fox, and tour. :)
K bye.
~*~
And then I got home, went to work, had food poisoning, and I'm currently in bed updating this blog. Food poisoning sucks.
Ahem. After I sent the Drama-Mama off to Tekong with the parentals and the monstars, siap muka pucat and everything, I got on the train at PASIR RIS, and took the ONE HOUR RIDE to my workplace at Chinese Garden.
I can still remember what I bought at Mr Bean at Chinese Garden ok. Pearly Soya Milk. And then I walked the ten minutes to my cRib. Hahahaha.
And then and then, just as I was REACHING my workplace, Huda Bin Buda smsed me and said,
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Omg abang's not enlisting today. He lost too much weight."
Pengz. MEREPEK KAN ADIK AKU.
This sms was followed by Huda basically telling me that NS won't want Hafiz unless i send him. What nonsense. Pergi aje lah ni pun nak kena hantar ke!
And then just as I was settling into the office, Hafiz himself called, and long story short, he said, "Ok Bye Kaklong! See you later tonight at home!"
Nonsense Bin Ponsense.
Hahahahaha. This Bin business irritating jugak eh?
Ok lah. To You-Know-Who : Sorry horh. I didn't lie!!!! Except for the laaaaaaast paragraph when I said he won't be reading the post until a few weeks later. Hahahaha.. Other than that, all I typed was the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. :P:P:P
So now i really can't wait for you to go to NS you bacin. Sebok je. :P
So my Muhammad Hafiz Bin Abdul Rahman was sent of by the family to go defend his country or whatever on Friday. I said byee!! to him at Pasir Ris interchange on Friday. (merepek seh muka dia. if i can correctly gauge the extent of the paleness of his face, he was actually whiter than Casper.)
Takut kaper adik? Hahahahaha.
That Friday started off with mum moody, for obvious reasons, dad was all kancong (betul ke spelling ni.) about the brother's army preparations, Hakim was obviously excited - he was bouncing in his seat when we told him he was going to go to Tekong (his life-time ambition is to become an askar).
And I was kinda wonked because I thought the whole sending him off thing was taking place in the MORNING when it only started at 12 in the afternoon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Bodoh ke bodoh.
Because yours truly took half-day leave for THAT MORNING. Lol.
And when Hafiz heard he made his "Heaaaahhhhhh..." sound, which I hate. But whatever lorh, dah pergi pun. hahahahahahaha.
But I ended up sending him off till the Pasir Ris interchange, where he gave me a bone-breaking hug, as if he'd never see me again. -_- Ape je. Later Hari Raya jumpa lah k badot.
That said, no, I don't really miss you......... Yet. :) I'm sure I will. In the days to come. When I peek into your room to see if you're home or not. And realise you're somewhere at camp slogging away and getting shouted at by your superiors. Haha... Yeah. I'll miss you then.
*gives him a looooooong hug* You'll be okay. (even if you'll only see this in a few weeks) Tekong only what. One ferry ride away. LOL.
Hahaha. I only took 1 shot of yesterday's fiesta that was Karim's birthday. (mostly because I was hungry and Siti's mum cooked a lot of biryani.)
It was also the unveiling of the Conf.gang's first music video. (which reminds me that I haven't even linked them up yet. heh. sorry boys. you understand lah horh. hahahaha)
So Happy 21st Birthday Mr Karim!
2 adopted brothers and one crazy one. Ok lah horh. And Karim. Your face damn priceless can? Hafiz+Shamsul suruh dress up tanak. Padan muka.
p.s : MAN U kalah ok? Hahahahahaha.
And of course, the gang has earned a worthy mention on this blog of mine (cheh. macam mana punya cool lah kaklong dier ni.) and hence, I will put up their music video here. :D
Bloopers are too um, strong for this blog. (which also entertains the below 13s.) So pandai2 lah cari yer.
Hahaha. it's too bad you guys cussed too much on the bloops. I'd have put it up too. It was bloody entertaining. Hahahaha.
/edit: it also seems that Park Belakang-Rumah is a good place to shoot videos. hahahaha. Hafiz cannot find any other secluded locations. Lol.
Last weekend i recorded for this advertisement on cervical cancer - it's still in the works and I still don't know if the clients have made a decision to use my voice or not, but hahaha.. i'm hoping. :D
I was also asked to let them have some pictures of the family (mum agreed) and while I was looking through the photos, I realized that I haven't posted lots of photo vomits for AGES.
hahaha.. This blog is becoming a little bit boring eh?
Kesiannn blog. Sayaaaannng blog.
Wait i put some more pictures eh?
~*~
Currently there's been a lot of bloody drilling from upstairs. It's 3.48pm. And they have been drilling since NINE A.M. Incredible.
Hakim woke up from the drilling this morning by shouting, "Diammm!! DIAMM LAHHHH!!!" at the ceiling. Hahaha.
I'm shagged, mostly from my Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. I did the recording on Friday, and my Sat and Sun was spent at Farhan's cousins' weddings. Which was a blast. :D Suka!
I got my tudung wet with baby spat (his nephew), my kebaya puked on (same nephew), my hands were pulled here and there by little kiddies (mostly from this little girl who got a splinter in her thumb), my tummy filled dunno how many times, and lots and lots of laughter in all directions..
It's nice to be liked. :D
Pictures will be here when the boy is less sick from flu and sore throat and manages to send them to me. Haha..
I'll post up lost family pictures later. :D
And now I have to go do the dishes. The rain better stop because i want to dry some clothes. Urgh.
ANDDDDDDD. I'm sorry but i just have to post this :
/edit : I am NEVER blogging in INTERNET EXPLORER AGAIN. Bloody bacinian.
Today I went to Daiso and bought like, a lot of stuff. Among these wonderful stuff are 4 packets of polymer bake-inside-oven-to-harden clay, and I've been at them since, dunno what time.
Although they're a little difficult to work with, the results were okay. :D
And although I'd love to put up the pictures right now, I don't have the energy to do so!
And on top of that, my hands smell strongly of apple - because I've been coating all the clay stuff with nail varnish, perisa epal! Haha. But now I think I'm just woozy from the smell. :S
And! (wah banyaknya and!) I want to post up a conversation that mum and Hakim had this morning which totally made my day :
~*~
(the conversation began because mum's Starhub box set went wonky)
Me : Macam mana boleh rosak mak?
Mum (dengan penuh selambanya) : Lepas mak tengok TV mak hempas benda tu. (what she meant was : Manalah Mak tahu macam mana benda tu rosak!?)
Me : ???? T_T
Hakim : *thinks....*
Hakim : Mak, hempas tu ape?
Mum : Ye lah, lepas Mak tengok kan Mak lempar benda tu kat lantai sumer..
Hakim : .......
Hakim : Kenapa Mak pergi hempas?
Mum : Ya Allah, tak paham-paham budak ni...
Hakim : *frowns at mum* Siapa?
~end of silly conversation~ (because Mak dah tak boleh menang lagi. hahahaha.)
Ok! Going to bed now! Pictures tmr! Wheeee! Night!
Celebrated mum's belated birthday and Hafiz's advanced birthday at Carousel yesterday.. Haha.. I have more scandalous pictures than these, but they will have to wait because I have to go to work today.
Work.
Hahahaha. And I am looking forward to it. Lol. (I can't imagine if I were jobless right now. I'd be bored out of my mind. Not to mention no work = no yoga. :S)
Ok, last photo, and then I need to go. :D
(aspiring air steward. Can ah tayke yer order?)
Happy birthday darling brother.. Hahaha.. You know We love you.. :D
(Lol.. I am sorry I won't be in Singapore on your birthday.. Budden you got your advanced habez birthday present from me, so there! Hahaha..)
4) I got caught up in Patapon and DIY fever. Completed the game AND completed my syllabus.
5) Watched IRONMAN twice in one day. That's a major feat.
6) Ji-soo is quite possibly preggers. Haha. With Mu-Yeong's kid. This is news that is yet to be confirmed. Dad hopes the babies come on Hafiz's birthday which is damn weird but there you are. (and by babies i mean kitties.)
7) I have become an exercise fanatic. -_- I look forward to Tuesdays so I can go to yoga and dance class. (and then the rest of the week I sit around the lounge area and decide which classes I want to try next. Haha. And I haven't exhausted their list.)
8) I am positively filled with nervous laughter. It's preferable to tears and b****iness, but I feel like I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. And the fact that I actually finished studying my syllabus for marketing means I either went through it too fast, or I went through it too fast. i.e I retained nothing. *bites fingers*
9) Farhan has been the perfect rock. :) Thank you very very very much. Haha. Doesn't it please you that I haven't gotten emotional (like the last three years) when May comes along? Hmm? Hmm? Hahahaha.
10) I haven't thought about what I wanted to do after exams, which is weird. I mean, I HAVE bought um, shtuff, to do once exams are ovah, but I want to get all the money I can get as soon as freaking possible. (and maybe go to Osaka.)
11) 3 friends have gotten/are getting ... engaged/married so far this year.. I know one is getting married in December. Hahaha. So that makes 4! Kahwin2 time!! (the boy's friends included makes 6. WAH!)
12) The M subject is kind of getting to me. A friend told me her cousin was worried that her daughter (who coincidentally was my schoolmate) doesn't have a boyfriend and will not quote "be able to" /quote get married. -_-
Ape. Saje. We're only 23 cik. Relax lah.
The subject has of course come up in my case. Heh. And, oh sorry, no details. :)
13) I haven't seen Aida or Sri in yonks. That's terrible. *shakes fist*
14) I am only blogging right now because it's preferable to kinda, blog instead of, you know.. write out definitions. Haha. Which I will do, once this blogpost is done.
15) Business is getting on well, despite my um, absence. Haha. But more will come. I can feel it in my bones.
16) I need more snacks if I'm going to stay up tonight.
17) I have new albums in my MP3 player: Guster, Plain White Tees, and All American Rejects, not to mention Sweeney Todd, Frou Frou (Imogen Heap), and an assortment of the Pixies, Cardigans, Bryan Adams (woo!) and The Verve Pipe. (and I think these are the only things (besides the boy) keeping me sane.)
20) The boy has started his, "Saturday I have soccer with the boys.." To which I exclaimed, "What Saturday!? Saturday is Hana day! What soccer?! What soccer?!" And to which he calmly replied, "I'm going to have to buy boots and stuff..." And to which I said, "Haha. Ok. Have fun. But Sunday is Hana day!! IRONMANROCKS!!"
Haha. I am still in love. :)
Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong Move along, move along like I know you do And even when your hope is gone Move along, move along just to make it through Move along Move along
Ok. Hitting the books now. See you in 2 weeks time earth-o!
Photo of the month (har!)
I have changed my laces to reflect the colour of the sky. (and the boy is very tiny.)
Tok Abah went for a major operation yesterday morning, and it went well, Alhamdullilah. I lived my own episode of Grey's Anatomy, and I don't want to do it again anytime soon ya. :)
But what's important is that he was smiling and laughing yesterday, after the operation, not in a lot of pain (he refused painkillers, twice) so I hope he gets a speedy recovery. Hope you guys pray for it too. :D
Went for retail therapy at Ikea yesterday (maklumlah, tempat tu dekat), bought a new pillow for $3.50 and new scented candles. And,you know, all those little little items you buy at Ikea, and when you put them together you get a long receipt? Yeah. That. Haha.
Had dinner at Banquest at Anchorpoint (which was quite dismal actually, Banquet, not dinner) the Banquest itself only consisted of one um, stall. Haha. Oh well. I had Wanton Mee. Which had pretty good wantons, so I'm not complaining. :D
Last but not least, HIATUS!! I have 38 days left to the start of the end of my London education AND I CAN'T WAIT!!! Hahahahahaha... Wow. I'm not even dreading this. I just want it to be over so I can concentrate on more important things (like making money for example. :P) Haha. Ok lah, my degree is as important lah. Hee.
but yes! This is HUGE!! Two more papers and it's done!! Wheeeeee!!!
:D Okay, see you guys on the 22nd of May (unless of course I have important announcements or rants that cannot be issued elsewhere. hee.)
Is when you tell your sister that you had a weird dream where you stole ice-cream from Best Denki, accompanied by your boyfriend, got chased by cops, ran from Vivocity to a block of flats, hid in a stairwell using a tarp to cover yourself, succeeded in not getting caught, and finally waking up, and your sister goes :
"Cool! Sleep on your back again tonight and have another weird dream to tell me again tmr night!"
We've been up the whole night doing the video (which is due around 11am today. bleargh)
I've been working on the dvd cover, wanna see?
Total work time : 4 hours. (including back cover)
Here's the total dvd cover :
(click!)
Now I'm quite dazed and there's still a ton of work to do. :S Hafiz is out for the time being, the poor boy. He's been editting the video. And now Huda has taken over doing the subtitles. Erp.
Haha. And my dining table is one huge MESS.
I hope we have energy to go BBQ-ing later.
~*~
P.S : Thank you so much for taking me out today (even if it's Chinese New Year's Eve) (and even if you thought the whole Singapore is 'closed') and entertaining me with Guitar Freaks and Sweeney-Todding with me. :D Hearts to the boy who can do it all (and STILL stand my nonsense). Hehe.
:D Hana is fresh and perky and has decided to blog from the office. Haha..
Travelling from the Batam Ferry Terminal to our hotel. Haha.. (That's Tok Abah in his James Bond sunglasses. :P) Cramped in that van man. I dunch like. Hehe..
That's the hotel people. Hahaha.. It's not much ( I say that because it's pink) , but I heard that it's the best Batam's got. And I won't argue because :
They have a huge-ass world-class chandelier that hangs in the middle of the hotel lobby! Haha.. (okay lah, it was a very nice hotel compared to others I've been to. *cough* Bangkok *cough* hehe..)
Service at the hotel was excellent (and not to mention imaginative, haha..) because they provided bellcart services for the bags AND the kids. -_- Jakun nak mamps. (the kids not the hotel bellman.)
(HAHAHAHA.. Macam cartoon character.)
And after we checked in and everything, the three makciks and I, ventured out (in Batam traffic) in search of :
That is a LOT of food ok. 14 plates ahhhhhh.. Then we ordered two more tau! Bergedil. Hahaha..
Ape burger boleh masuk mulut dalam satu suap? Bergedil!
Lame to the max. (all this is KC speak. I can't tahan it. I still don't know why I listen. -_-)
Is it spelt that way? Bergedil? Macam burger degil aje. Betul tak? I dunno. *slaps self*
A-N-Y-W-A-Y-S, after that, we went to Macs to get the kiddies something to eat. And the bill came up to this :
$118,800 okay. Hahaha.. okok. 118,800 rps. Chey, not glamour already when put the rps behind. Hahaha.. But imagine getting that figure in Singapore McDonalds'. Hahaha..
The extreme of it is that, you can get so much for a mere 80 Singapore cents. Hahaha.. So for example, if you get, Chicken Broth, Spaghetti, 4 pc nuggets, regular fries, iced milo, McFlurry, McFloat and an Ice-cream Sundae, it will only cost you : $6.40 And that's more than one person can eat.
I AM SERIOUS. *cuba kau bayangkannnnn* (how much Macs you can eat over there. hahahaha..)
Hahaha.. I still can't get over this street sign lah. So funneh. Be wau nun jim wau lam. hahahahahaa.....
And this pullcart is like, one whole Singapore pasar malam (minus $1 cars and insurance) on wheels lah dey! Sell penyapu, sell sponge, sell toys, sell balloons.. I think if you ask, he can produce genuinely fake branded bags too!
The guy pulling the pushcart also damn sardine. hahaha.. He crossed the road pulling his cart, and everybody is honking, and he doesn't give two twits. Hahaha.. Batam traffic for you.
Oh, speaking of honking, the van/taxi/lorry/motorcycle drivers there also honk at you sey! So rude. Hahaha.. Mak Busu and I saw this local running and running and running and running, trying to catch up to this stupid van, which didn't even slow down, and was also busily honking at us (we were on the other side). And then when we shook our heads to say, no, we don't want your service, the van drove off. And the poor, poor running man, stopped running lah of course. Pssh. Hahaha.. We laughed like crazy.
Anyways *checks time* it's time I started doing work. haha.. More on the silly customs incident when I'm home.
I'll leave you with VIPS :
Two of the most dearly loved and irritating persons on the face of this Earth. hehehe..
