Pausing hiatus

I've been pretty busy the last couple of weeks, and it's starting to take a toll. Haha.. But, oh well. Every cloud has a silver lining. (I'm still not quite sure why that means 'there's a good side to everything' but anyways..)

Lugging around a laptop is not the easiest kind of sport. Haha. My shoulder and even elbows hurt. Ahha. So try lugging a laptop to school at 8.30am, then to the office at 1pm, and then to tuition at 445 pm. :D Exercise is good for you!

The good part of this is that, well, I'm lugging around my mobile office. It means I get to keep revising the business. (and it helps that I have a portable online Farhan too. :p)

Next week is PSLE week, where I will be even more busy. Will probably try to find some time to make Hari Raya cookies as well.

And then there SHALL be revising of school work, where I KNOW I'm really lost. Wee Lin is in my class this year, and though he keeps me awake during IBM, I still can't get the gist of the subject. Yet. :)

Other than that, Ji-soo has suceeded in dipping her WHOLE BUTT in a plate of milk, from which Mu-Yeoung was drinking. Silly silly silllyyy cat. And then she complained loudly when I tried to wash her butt.

Is it just me, or does everybody have to wash cats' butts on a weekly basis? Hello??? Of course it's just me!!!

Anyways, I have to go now. Tuition at ten. It's been hot lately, and I want to leave now while it's still cool and a little breezy.

Photo vomits part III

A good morning to fellow citizens of Singapore. I am wide awake despite the late hours I kept last night. Haha.. This is due to the fact that I HAVE SCHOOL TODAY! Wheee! *excited*

Then again, school starts in five hours, so I thought I should blog. Haha.. With MORE PICTURES!!



This is the camera I use nowadays.. Haha.. The recent pictures that is. I like it because it obviously does the double job of being both a camera and a phone. Heh. It's got 3.2 megapixels. That's why the pictures are so clear. :D

Anyways, here are some pictures from the recent trip to the Mint Toy Museum..









Haha.. Sorry I don't have more pictures to put up on the Museum. I'm quite lazy. :D Ahha.. Okay, if you ask me if the museum itself is good... I'd give it an overall.. 6/10. Ahha.. Ambience and sofas wise, 100/10. (You should see the toilets lah!) But... about the toys, and with me being such a toy freak.. only 4.5/10.

(p.s :I know that does not add up to 6/10. But I don't care. Hah!)

Come on. I was expecting something like a heeuuge 'Simply Toys' FACTORY kind of display. Where be the X-men? Or the Justice League? Where be the Captain Planets? (because I SO had those as a kid.) There was only ONE shelf dedicated to Barbie for heaven's sake. Gah.

Hmm. There was an impressive Tintin display though. Not that I like Tintin all that much. I used to switch channels when Tintin came on tv last time. Haha.. Oh well.

Ok lah. So that's my review for the toy non-factory museum. Go for the sofa on level 2!! I actually fell asleep while waiting for Farhan. Hahaha.. It's huge and I want to rompak the museum and bring it home. (Although WHERE to put it after that remains a BIG issue.)

And I didn't take a picture of the sofa because... well. now there is a shroud of mystery surrounding it no? No?? Fine then. No.

I spent the day at Mak Uteh's yesterday where she cooked dinner for me! Yumssss! hahaha...



Rah!! Sedappppp!!! Hahaha.. And it was just a campak2 recipe like the previous post. Hahaha.. Best nyer ada dua mak! Hehe.. I had two delicious meals yesterday! Happy giler. *laughs*

I think I gain weight during the fasting month. *sigh* It's like a body crime to love food.

Photo vomits part II

Haha.. Onslaught of pictures coming your way. In no particular order whatsoever. Haha. No. Not even chronologically.


Harry Potter dengan Putera Berdarah Kacukan

I was horrified to see that this was what they're selling at Harris (Malaysia's Popular) : Harry Potter books in Malay. I mean, if that's what's on the covers, I shudder to think what's going on inside.

e.g :
Hahahaha.. Berdarah kacukan. Darn I should have looked into the book and quoted the line where Harry finds the name of the owner of the book. In the English one, it says, "I am the Half Blood Prince."

So. "Sayalah Putera Darah Berkacukan." ???

Gimme a break.

Other titles are as follows :
Book 1 : Harry Potter dengan Batu Hikmat
Book 2 : Harry Potter dan Bilik Rahsia
Book 3 : Harry Potter dengan Banduan Azkaban (Banduan is damn unglam can?)
Book 4 : Harry Potter dalam Piala Api

Haha.. I don't know what Harry is doing IN the Goblet of Fire. Haha.. Ok. Enough HP griping for today. Although.. I really want to know what title they'll substitute for 'Deathly Hallows'.

Hahahahaha.. Is there such a word as Bermati? Mati, dimatikan, termati. Hahaha.. Who cares!



Hakim and Ammar demonstrate how little boys should smile. Haha.. Ok. Hakim's is extremely exaggerated of course.



The book the boy gave me which I finished in about two days. Hahahahahaha.. Thank you so much!! I LOVED IT. Always wanted to wake up in another time line. (which is what happened to the woman in the story. ehhe.)



Thank you Cik Nong for the sweets! Hahaha.. The chocolate is a bit bitter, but after a few bites, it's really good.. Hehehe..



This is what Farhan had at Sofra. Hahaha.. The Yaprak Tavuk! It's cheeken, stuffed with rice, veggies and mushroom! Delicious!



And this is what I had! (because I was extremely hungry that day.) Chef's plate! Which consisted of a Doner Kebap, Shish Kebap, and some Izgare Kofte! (Haha. Ok. Sofra should pay me for advertising their food.) This dish is for people like me who can't even make a decision as to which one to choose. So choose all lah. Hahaha..

The drink I had at Black Canyon at Jusco. Hahaha. It was so sour, nobody wanted it. I had to dump a whole cup of water in it just to make it milder. Hahaha.. In the end, it tasted fine. Haha..

Busy week ahead. Haha. I just found out that classes start THIS wednesday. Hurrah! Crumbs! *other Enid Blyton expletives*

And because of this, my entries for the next few days about the past week will come in dribs and drabs. Haha. And lots of photo vomits.

Okay, the kids in the kindergarten downstairs are singing the National Anthem. And I hate it when they sing "Mari kita Yayat Singapura..." -_- What's a yayat?

And speaking of kids, Hakim delivered his most pakcik line yet. After waiting for a considerable time for my dad to finish parking the car, Hakim said to my dad as he waited by the lift,

"Wah.. Lama nyer parking? Buat origami ke per??"


*guffaws*

Oh no. They're doing the 1-2-3-4 Chicken dance song. Gahhhh... *stuffs ears with cotton*

I have a tremendous amount of photos to upload and edit, (lots of them food pictures *winks at Sri*) but I also have a ton of stuff to do other than blog. *looks miserably at the ton of trash in her room*

I have to clear my bookshelves for the TWO (count that!) TWO modules waiting for me in SIM next week. And of course, my Prudential documents and such. :D

And right now, I have a huge bag of trash next to me which I need to fill. And hence, I won't be able to put up an interesting post today. :)

You can take a little trip around Singapore town...

On some Singapore country legs.

Haha.. Today I went to the office for a training session, had a crash-course in CPF issues, grabbed a couple of proposal forms, then left the office.

Then I decided to walk to Al-Abrar Mosque at Amoy Street; It's about two kilometers away from the office. So I walked, and walked, and took in views of buildings! I like big buildings, and Tanjong Pagar is nothing but big buildings. And colourful shophouses. Haha..


Some garden in the middle of a couple of small one-way roads.

When I came out of Al-Abrar, I saw the UOB/OUB building in the distance. (amongst many others of course) So... I decided to walk towards it. Hahaha.. I saw the opening to this park, and I really wanted to go inside and look around (there was a gate and everything), but my legs had a mind of their own today. So they walked, and I had no choice (duh) but to follow.

I caught a glimpse of a couple inside the temple posing for wedding pictures. Haha.. The pose was so funny I actually laughed out loud. -_- Then I was amused all by my oneself because I laughed out loud. Do you know how weird it is to laugh out loud when you're not with anybody??

Then I walked on, and reached Far East Square. (square ok. not plaza. S-Q-U-A-R-E. Don't anyhow say I sesat until Orchard Road.) It's one of my favourite haunts just 'cause. Haha.. I don't know why I like the place so much. Anyways, today I FINALLY walked into this shop I passed a million times and actually looked closely at what they were selling...








Art by JIMMY LIAO~~!! *gags and sputters* He's like. My hero of all artists. The three above cards were actually illustrated books, which became movies.. The first two, the one of the blind girl, is from 'Sound Of Colours' and the third one is of course, 'Turn Left, Turn Right.' (from the book, 'A Chance Of Sunshine.') Um. Yes, I bought all three cards. I also bought his illustrated bookmarks.

I'm going to collect all his artwork. *beams* Haha.. And I want his books! *hint hint*

And, ok I lost my train of thought.

Oh yeah. So I finally reached Raffles Place Mrt (after wandering around Far East Square), and intended my wanderings to be over already, but my feet wouldn't listen. They took me all the way to 'The Arcade' shopping center, where I found this! :



My own boutique! Hahaha.. I don't know why Chinese ppl have a Malay named shop. The baju inside very classy ok. Hahaha...

Anyways, after that detour, I went down into Raffles Place Mrt, and almost got to the control station when my stomach rumbled and directed my feet to Burger King. -_-


Haha. Happy Birthday you. :p

Hahahaha. (Only Fiza gets to complain how stupid-looking the apple's um twig is. It's her birthday picture.)

And after that, my feet finally realized they were tired, and led the rest of my tired body back to the train station where all of us (feet included) took the train to Marina Bay, then all the way back to Admiralty. :)

Ok. I'm out of pictures, and it actually took 2 hours to write this post (plus edit all the pictures.) So I'll bid the world a good night now. Tuition tmr. Haha.. And then maybe a mini-celebration for my results. :D

According to a learned source, I'm a Glass-ist.

Haha.. You know what they say about people seeing a glass half empty or half full?

Farhan's actually a totally empty glass with holes. hehehe...

And he says I'm not even a glass. I'm a freaking plate. Haha.. Because I just receive everything from people. And he doesn't mean just the good.

HOW-FREAKING-EVER, right now, this amazing Glass Plate is SHINING so BRIGHT it will soon burst with AWESOMENESS!!

WHY???

BECAUSE I FINALLY PASSED FIVE UOL PAPERS AT ONE GO!!




HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA... OMG. THE RELIEF!

That is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. All credits. Hahahahaha..

There are people to thank for the above results.

The first of course is the mother, the one with the pep talks and the sending of myself to Singapore Expo every single day of the exams and the one with the hugs and the advice, and the much much needed giver of food and beverage at three in the morning. :D

The next is the Boy, who had to sit next to me while I studied, made sure I focused on the exams, and not on other shtuff. He made sure I got enough medicine when I got sick and made sure I ate after every mugging lesson. He's also the one who urges me to unwind when I need it, and to go to class when I'm feeling extra bleh-ness. He picked me up after school even when he was tired, if only to give me an extra boost.

I thank the both of you for being there, and for being uber-cool even though I was a nasty person when I was stressed. Thank you so much for believing in me.

There are other stuff that happened today, but I currently don't have the energy anymore. Haha. Adrenaline rush is all gone kapuut. :D

Yes, I broke his umbrella. Like, I pushed the handle out and then it went PRAAAKKKK! (like P. Ramlee's pants) and then I got scratched by the jutting wires.

And then it wouldn't even close!

So I ended up having an umbrella which looked like this :

I am sad.

Wah. Yesterday's Comex was so draining lah. I woke up about half an hour ago? Haahahaha..

I went with Farhan to buy his dad some stuff, and to buy him some stuff, and we also ate some stuff and now we're both tired from doing all that stuff.

Haha. I know for a fact that he's still asleep right now. :D

Aiya. There are pictures, but I'm too lazy to edit them and post them up. I ate some delicious stuff! :D And Farhan had his half chicken again. Hahaha. So what's new? :p

Ok lah. I wanna go back to my cross-stitch. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it's got a strange hold on me.

Oh wait. I saw The Painted Veil last night. And also Sleepless in Seattle, and 50 First Dates. Was feeling sappy and mushy lah, can anot.

I liked Edward Norton's character in The Painted Veil. *beams* Sleepless in Seattle was not as good as You've Got Mail, I felt that there was not enough interactions between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. And 50 First Dates was just.. :D

Ok lah. Enough jabbering.
