I am a sucker for fanfiction

So I was surfing for some Twilight fanfiction, and I came across this Yahoo! Answers post :

Anyways. Yes, I am a sucker for fanfiction. I believe there are words and stories beyond the Canon. :) And I love love love fanfiction world.

That said, Twilight fanfiction needs better ... writers. Hahaha. And I can't wait till someone makes a Buffy/Harry Potter/Twilight crossover. Do it! Do it! Do it! Because Buffy/HP is already bloody hilarious.

Striking a chord

Haha. Technically, if something were literally able to strike a chord within me, I'd imagine that chord to be a most resounding, rich, F.

I like F. F doesn't sound too overly happy like a C or a G, and not too sad like A minor. A minor's a sad note no?

Anyways, I was talking about chords because I just completed (like, finally) the last book in the Twilight series (i.e Breaking Dawn). Unlike its predecessors, I didn't devour the book. Hahaha.

Actually, i couldn't really stomach the book when it first came out. Haha. From the horror stories I heard from it, I kinda just steered clear away from it. Not even when Hafiz or Huda told me to read it.

But ok lah. I gave it a chance what, a week ago? Yeah. And today I completed it.

It wasn't as horrifying as I thought it would be. It of course didn't measure up to Rowling's bloodbath of a seventh book. No one died in the Cullen family (much to my disgust.)

I still feel that Stephanie Meyer played it too safe. That she was totally scared of offending her fans that were Team Jacob or Team Esme. Haha. Maybe they should have killed off Esme. I would have been happier (and sad) if they did. And the book would have at least gained a little respect from me.

But no. The Cullens lived happily ever after. She even made Edward call Jacob... son.

*shudders*

I thought the whole Nessie thing was hilarious though. I share Bella's absolute disgust for the nickname.

"You nicknamed our child after the Loch Ness Monster?"

Hmm. Oh yes, chords. haha. Well, the book struck a chord with me with Bella. She's fascinating to me. And I absolutely detest the fact that the movie Bella is so different from the Bella i like.

Ah well. You can't have everything in the world. :)

It's raining now, that light rain and it's still bright. Makes me believe I'm in Forks - if only for a while.

Bella VS Blue Jaw

A Twilight Review.

I don't know which hurt my eyes more, Bella Swann or Edward's Blue Jaw.

Some parts were all right, some were downright .. cringe-worthy.

I kept telling Huda again and again, "ThankGod I didn't pay for this."

Let's talk about what I liked about Twee-light, since it's a very short list. Tee-hee.

1) Edward Cullen's hair. Sometimes. Other times he looked like he had a very anorexic beaver on his head.

2) Edward, for the most part. Robert Pattinson did an all right job, some parts I actually cringed because of the special effects. (we'll get to that later.) Some parts were good though, he played Edward well I guess. Then some parts I wanted to slap him because Edward doesn't smile THAT much. -_-

3) CHARLIE! Okay, Charlie was good. I liked Charlie. Charlie with shotgun, be-awesome.

4) Carlisle and Esme. :D Or Eva, or Rebecca. Doesn't matter. I like that actress. And Carlisle is just hot. Hahaha. Smushed face though.

Um, okay that's about it.

Dislikes :

1) Bella Swann. Omg. She was dreadful. And not just because she was pretty hot (she's not supposed to be) and all the boys fawned over her, but because of her horrible line delivery. Like come on man. The matter-of-fact tone bugs the hell out of me. "You're cold. You're strong. You're fast." DUH. What are you telling Edward for? DIAPUN TAHU SEHHH.

I hate movies with scripts that are written for the sake of the audience. And in this case, for the audience who did not read the book. BOO.

2) The, what I call, climb-mountain-using-escalator effect. Intended to show the audience how "fast" the vampires can travel.

Ha. Ha. Ha. It just looked like Edward found an escalator on the side of the mountain and rode it on fast-forward.

Haiz. Ok lah. Since the budget for the movie wasn't that huge, I'll give it a rest. (The next one better have improved escalator effect ok.)

3) The weird blast-from-the-past slash fantasy day dreaming scenes. Hahahahahaha. omg. LAME. There was one where Bella was imagining Edward biting her, and she's weirdly in a bardot? kind of costume, and Edward's all Dracula-ish, and he bites her and gets red stuff on his mouth and then she wakes up?

Lame lame lame. Not so much the trying to give the audience an insight into the day-dreaming, but more of the way it was filmed. It gave me the heebee-jeebies.

4) Jacob Black. Aiz, what to do about this one. Well, if I were the casting director, I'd chop of Jacob's locks, and maybe put a bead or two in his hair ala Jack Sparrow. Actually, if I were the casting director, I wouldn't have cast any of them. Heh.

5) Don't get me started on the 'bad' vampires. Eurgh.

6) The fact that you can tell which scenes they started filming first, and which scenes were filmed at the end. ahhahahahaha. Edward's MUCH MUCH MUCH fatter at the start. :) He hides all of it under his stupid jacket.

7) Edward's BLUE JAW. Oh God, this one just distracted me like crazy. Like, they're talking and you can see this blue tinge on his jaw, which i assume is from him having to shave like every five minutes and in between takes. it's so bloody distracting lah can? can? and he needs to stop smirking.

8) The fact that they squashed together ALL the cool lines in the book into one ten minutes scene. I HATE THAT. There was no pacing AT ALL. Urgh. Bloody irritating.

9) I was barely paying attention toward the end - you know, when the 'bad' vampire tried to eat Bella. Hahaha. Or whatever. I can't rem also.

10) Ok lah. Dah. I'm sleepy also. :) And it's raining. I want to live in Forks.

Haha. Ok. I go take a nap. I'm already falling asleep in front of this screen. Bye world.

Whee!

Site revamped yet again. Which means I didn't do what I was supposed to do (um. study? I think. hee.)

But I love it, and that's all that matters. Hahaha. Blogroll has been revamped as well. Since I like flairs, I decided to make one for each blogger on my blog! :D (Clearly dah takde kerja.)

A-ny-ways. I am restless for the 4th Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, and so I can't concentrate on the Dark Materials text (other than feel that the 'cool' uncle is a 'cruel' uncle. too bad they described him as uber hot. haiya. then cast Daniel Craig. ICK.)

I have officially finished the Twilight Chronicles. And and and I'm THIRSTY for more.

Great. It's Harry Potter all over again. Thirst for the plot. ARGH.

And I didn't get to see what Alice PLANNED??? BLARGH.

I don't want to say more cause Huda hasn't read the third book. But I'll let you know that I AM NOT SATISFIED!!!

Well, consolation-wise, there's the movie to look forward to. Haha. End of this year. How quaint. Just after Potter 6. (and Potter 7 will be made into 2 movies. Haha. One movie for the plot and the other for the camping trip. :P)

~~Best~~ Worst part? Cedric Diggory is now Edward Cullen. Someone bite me please. Ick ick ick.

P.S : I can't believe Cho is in the picture. Sebok je.

And if someone tells me Edward Cullen is a Hufflepuff, I swear I will scream.
