in which the house gets a smell makeover

What happened today. In point form.

Sprite stuck his right hind leg in a bowl of oil. (I'm thankful the oil wasn't hot. And i'm irritated that he was being naughty - climbing all over the kitchen tops.) This morning he was a white cat with one smelly yellow foot. Very ew.
I got up at twelve and found out that mum was going to her office at one, so i persuaded her to send me to my tuition place. Got there at 1.30pm, one hour earlier than the supposed tuition time. Spent the hour at a nearby coffeeshop with a cup of 'teh katai peng' and an Agatha Christie.
Had tuition where the kid drove me nutty. Resorted to bribing her with Skittles so that she did her sums. -_- (it's a good thing she likes the yellow ones. *shudders*)
Finished tuition a good fifteen minutes later than usual, caught a bus back to Ang Mo Kio and made my way to Causeway Point for kitty supplies.
Made my way back home and found Sprite missing. -_- I especially hate it when i'm the first one to realize that the cats are missing. Why doesn't anybody else notice??? Searched for him for almost an hour (it's a pity he's D.E.A.F) till i found him hiding underneath Bibik's bed.
Gave him another bath because his leg was still very much yellow and there was still oil all over his tail. -_- his coat didn't even dry properly from the morning bath.
Gave Jacque his breath mints because HIS BREATH STINKS.
Sprayed the whole house (leather sofa, dining chairs, carpets, beds) with cat repellent. Someone (i won't mention who) broke the scratching post and in the period without their wonderful scratching post, my cats found that leather sofas and dining chair upholstry make an excellent substitute.
Sprite took the opportunity to pee on one of the matresses. AGAIN. It's irritating that once male cats mature they pee all over the place. -_-
My room now just smells of cat repellent. :S It's almost human repellent. *gags*
I have to go now.

Footnote : Dash is the most well-behaved cat. Wahaha.

laid back

I had a great time yesterday. :)
It's been so long, that i forgot what it's like to just sit back and laugh.
Thank you Aida and Sri and of course Sayang for making my day.
Ahha... We should do more gossipping! So fun! Hahaha..
And yes Aida, what you predicted yesterday about Sri (ahem ahem) might just come true. Hahaha..
And thank you Sri for cooking so much lah! haha.. Can you believe that i'm still full from your brownies and your mee from yesterday? Hehe..

*smiles* Thank you Sayang for the date after. Hahaha.. Even though it was just me and you walking around Causeway Point making fun of shops. *laughs*

I like that i still beam when i think of you. :)

it's been a hectic weekend. haha.. and i've got the fever to prove it. :)

The BBQ didn't turn out exactly as planned, but i had a good time anyway. *smiles* all you need is the right people to enjoy it with. haha.. and of course a bad bluff player. *beams*

so i'm currently still shagged, even though it's been 3 days since the bbq. haha..

I watched Nanny McPhee on DVD today.. and i must say.. it's quite a good show.. warts and all. :p

ok. no more grey matter. :) can't think of anything else to blog about.

in which Hana and Farhan go to the movies..

The boy picked me up at Ang Mo Kio yesterday after tuition.. And we went to watch :

For those of you who are HESITATINGGG (WHY? WHY? WHY?) to watch this movie, hesitate no more. GO WATCH. I ORDER YOU TO.

If not for the cute little red car.... Watch it for :

Everytime he comes on screen i just laugh and laugh.. He's sooooo cute laaaa... (and just the right shade of green) hehehe..

Hahaha.. The people at the theatre were so bloody boring though. I think Farhan and I scared everybody by laughing so loudly. *snorts*

And yes, stay for AFTER the credits.. (though the credits are not too bad themselves.. ) hehehe.. Ooohh yes. Watch out for the little Beetles.. *laughs* They're so minuscule you'll miss them at first. Sooo... STAY IN YOUR SEAT UNTIL THE PIXAR LAMP COMES ON.

in which baby names are discussed

Went to a couple of weddings last Sunday, plus a baby shower.

My new baby cousin's name is 'Aaryan Safian.. Ahha.. *isn't Aryan an indian race?*

Anyway, the point is, the names for the generation nowadays (Malays especially) are so...... stylo. Danish la.. Raizan la.. Aaryan lah.. You know what i mean.. Ahha..

And there's also of course the weirder fact that famous people are opting for simpler names.. *cough* Salma Hayek *cough* (Her surname was probably Ayek. *giggles guiltily*)

My grandmother actually wanted to name me Nur Azlinda. Azlinda was the name of some popular Malay artist back then.... -_- yes back then. i don't even know what she looked like ok. Azlinda? Who??

On a whole other plane, can you imagine if i name my kids after popular artists now?????

Scenario:

Malay teacher introduces me to another teacher: Ah... Ni lah maknya Siti Nurhaliza...

and, as i added to my mum (if she were to pick my daughter up from school)

Malay teacher : Oh.... Ni nenek Siti Nurhaliza eh? (Oh, are you Siti Nurhaliza's grandmother?)

NO WAY.

And don't get me started on a son called Mawi. -_-

I whispered to my lovely grandmother about the wedding dais we saw at one of the weddings.

Me : Cantik eh pelamin pat sini.. (The dais looks quite nice.)

Tok Mak : Alah.. Pelamin sekarang sumernya sample... (All the dais nowadays are sample ones)

Me : Sample? *in my limited grasp of the malay language 'sample' means fake - rambut sample (false hair)*

Tok Mak : Ye lah... Takde kerawang-kerawang dia.. *i think i looked quite clueless then*

Mak Uteh interjects : Ape yang sample? Kerawang-kerawang? OHH.. SIMPLE. (I think kerawang means all those intricate designs or what. *shrugs*)

haha.. i laughed, and told my grandmother that the correct way to pronounce it is SIMPLE and not sample..

Tok Mak *glares at me* : EH, orang DULU-DULU sumer cakap SAMPLE LAH.. *in that tanak kalah tone*

hehehe..

then on the way home, we saw an accident along Woodlands Ave 12..

Dad : Wow, i think someone got hurt, can see the blood from here..
*traffic moves very slowly*
Dad : The blood is so red lahh!!
Mum *dry tone* : Got any other colour meh?

-_- score one for the mum. hahahaha..

oh. and i wish i could record a video of my grandmother defending Mawi. Hahahahahaha... My Gad.. the expression on her face when Mak Uteh told her that Mawi is not that wonderful.. *laughs*

Oh no, maybe she'll name my son Mawi afterall. *blank face*

I had fun.. :)

It was great talking and laughing with them all over again.. Remembering the 'ole primary school days.. Ahaha.. Junlynn says she has our photographs from yesteryear *shudders* If it has a nice angle of me i might post it up. hahaha.. but if it doesn't..... heh. in which Hana has the most boring day evah

i can't believe i have resorted to listening to M2M of all things. -_- All i did today was go for my postponed tuition, with the darling tutee yapping non stop, come back home, take a 4 hour nap, dinner with the dad and the brother, fed the cats, and now here i am.

in which Sprite has an adventure

Had a bit of a scare this morning with Sprite running OUT of the house. -_-
We couldn't find him for half and hour, though we could hear him calling.
Thank God he has such a loud irritating voice.
In the end we found him crouched scared among flowerpots on level two.
Ahha.. Then he was meowing so loud like it was our fault he got lost. -_- silly cat.

Other news :

Farhan is actually in Malaysia, and i don't know when he'll be back. :(
My sister is in Czechoslovakia for a choir comepetition, the lucky belo.
I have four ulcers, two are on my bottom lip, where my teeth meet it. -_- one is in my mouth on the gums under the tongue, and the last is in my throat of all places.
I skipped tuition today because Sprite got lost.
I'm meeting my Primary Six class on Saturday the 10th. Been a decade since i saw or talked to most of them. Heh. Don't know how that's going to turn out.
Having an SIM barbeque meeting on the 12th and the actual barbeque on the 17th, which means i'll be missing the Peejay outing.. Sorry Ruz!
My cousin is removing his tonsils today. And i'm not going to see him 'cause apparently i'm not in Ang Mo Kio. -_____-
I miss everybody. Not sure whether they miss me though.
Pirates of The Carribean 2 is coming! *bounces up and down in excitement* Helloooooo metrosexual pirates! :p
I want to go on a vacation instead of rotting at home. Preferably some place far. The moon maybe. Anyone own a space shuttle? Um, and an astronaut suit?
The bead project is driving me nuts. *nods vehemently* Not that i'm not already nuts.
I miss my boyfriend. :( *it's like you went back to Brunei all over again. which sounds pretty stupid, i know. but there you are.*

doo bee doo bee doo

i never thought i'd actually say this so early into vacation...

BUT I'M BOOOORRRRREEEEDDDDDDDD.

Haha.. I should get along with my project, but i ended up watching tv with Hakim and later on getting a Legendary *woo hoo!* in Distilling. Haha. No. You weren't supposed to understand that part. :)

Took a picture of the darling.. cat, while he was lying on the desk.. watching the rain. haha.. Such a human thing to do..
